Komfid, developed by a student and his family, created a cover with a drinking opening. Copenhagen’s Culture Box and Ringsted’s SKEMA began using it in autumn 2024.

A subsequent Danish Crime Prevention Council factsheet, published in 2026, records more than 700 calls to Giftlinjen about suspected drugging during 2024, compared with 95 in 2015. These are enquiries, not proven poisonings. The figures help explain concern surrounding prevention projects, while providing no independent evidence that a particular lid prevents an assault.
